I found part of this clip elsewhere, but missing Cash's extended spoken introduction. I hate to sound like a college nerd (because I'm not, I just married one), but the additional context his remarks add make the song even more impressive to me. This was from the February 17, 1971 episode of his show, by which time the Suits had forced him to start doing "theme" shows. This is from the best of the bunch, "Johnny Cash On Campus," which also featured Neil Young and James Taylor. It's super cool to hear Cash introduce what would go on to become his signature song to zero crowd applause. It's like hearing a recording of Zepplin play "Stairway..." to audience indifference before the album was released. Shiver me timbers!

The Wilburn Brothers were a popular American country music duo from the 1950s to the 1970s consisting of brothers Virgil Doyle Wilburn (July 7, 1930 – October 16, 1982) and Thurman Theodore "Teddy" Wilburn (November 30, 1931 – November 24, 2003).

Loretta Lynn: born April 14, 1932) is an American country music singer-songwriter with multiple gold albums in a career spanning almost 60 years. She is famous for hits such as "You Ain't Woman Enough (To Take My Man)", "Don't Come Home A-Drinkin' (With Lovin' on Your Mind)", "One's on the Way", "Fist City", and "Coal Miner's Daughter" along with the 1980 biographical film of the same name.

Lynn has received numerous awards and other accolades for her groundbreaking role in country music, including awards from both the Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music as a duet partner and an individual artist. She is the most awarded female country recording artist and the only female ACM Artist of the Decade (1970s). Lynn has scored 24 No. 1 hit singles and 11 number one albums. Lynn continues to tour, appear at the Grand Ole Opry and release new albums.
